Details to look out for
Helly Hansen’s first Denver store has two jobs at once: earn the attention of foot traffic at 16th & Market, and prove nearly 150 years of technical credibility to anyone who walks in. The red HH sign on a gray brick storefront in Basecamp at Market Station takes the street. The inside takes more convincing, so the store makes its case at arm’s length: Helly Tech product education on wood-slat columns beside the jackets it explains, and “Alive Since 1877” set into the concrete floor, so the heritage is underfoot instead of on a wall. Across 3,000 square feet, Helly Hansen makes its Denver debut by showing the gear, not just selling it.
